Inhibit announced winners if the ANZLF Trans-Tasman Innovation and Growth Award


It was such a privilege to attend the Trans-Tasman Innovation and Growth Awards (TTIGA) and receive our Innovation and Growth Award. The TTIGA celebrates innovation, growth and impact of small businesses in Australia and New Zealand. It was a great moment to reflect on our progress over the past two years and thank all those who have supported us on our journey.


TechConnect 2022 medical innovation finalists


Eldon presented our proposed solutions for medical devices at the TechConnect Innovation Challenge held in Washington, USA. We were honored to have been selected as a finalist and hope to be back next year! 


Inhibit Coatings attends IndiaWood 2022


We took our antimicrobial wood coatings international at INDIAWOOD 2022. Packing an epic stall and a selection of furniture and flooring samples we exhibited in Bangalore over 4 days. The great response and a very warm welcome made it all worthwhile.

Inhibit Coatings has been awarded a place among the Top 50 start-ups at the WorldFestival 2021 Innovation Award. Inhibit Coatings continues to push the boundaries of environmental safety, so we are honored to have our work recognized by such a prestigious organization.


Deep Technology & Industry 4.0 MiniExpo 2021


We present our stall for the Deep Technology & Industry 4.0 MiniExpo 2021. The team enjoyed learning about the 4th industrial revolution and how it will affect our company in the future. Inhibit Coatings also got the chance to display its revolutionary antibacterial & antiviral technology to the start-up community of Wellington. We look forward to seeing you next year!


Celebration at the 2021 Wellington Gold Awards


The Inhibit Coatings team had a fantastic night enjoying the hospitality of the Wellington Gold Awards 2021. Congratulations to CoGo, winners of the “Innovation Gold” award, and to Fix and Fog, winners of the “Supreme” award. Thank you, Wellington, for recognising our science. Inhibit Coatings is honoured to finish as a finalist up against such great businesses.

A 2021 Wellington Gold Awards Finalist


The Wellington Gold Awards is a respected set of prizes that celebrate the excellence of enterprise and business in the Wellington Region. The Inhibit Coatings team were overjoyed to be announced as finalists for the “Innovation Gold” award for outstanding recent R&D projects. On 29th July we find out if we have netted the top prize!


A visit from Hon Dr. Megan Woods, Minister of Research, Science and Innovation 


Inhibit Coatings was delighted to host Hon Dr. Megan Woods, the NZ Minister of Research, Science and Innovation, for a tour around our laboratory. The team displayed the full variety of coatings for the minister, including our potent antiviral coating, capable of destroying 99.9% of Human Coronavirus in two hours.

Inhibit Coatings continues to expand, introducing our new Operations Manager Stephen Fitzer 


Inhibit Coatings added one more team member to our roster this week, welcome our new operations manager, Stephen Fitzer. Stephen has experience in both project and production environments. He graduated with an MSc in Engineering Project Management and previously worked on collaborative, complex, and innovative research projects.

Inhibit Coatings is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Norman Barry Foundation Breakthrough Innovator Award at the 2020 KiwiNet Research Commercialisation Awards. These awards celebrate the impact of NZ's leading research innovations and we are incredibly grateful to have been recognised amongst them. 


Inhibit Coatings receives COVID-19 Innovation Acceleration Fund Grant


Inhibit Coatings has received $350,000 from MBIE's COVID Innovation Acceleration Fund to assist in the development of antiviral coatings for high-risk areas.

Inhibit Coatings is excited to announce its selection in the latest Plug and Play innovation platform and accelerator program in San Fransisco, California. Inhibit was chosen to participate in the program alongside 15 other SMEs out of an application pool of over 1,000.
